Members discussed whether any updated standards would render existing town roads non-compliant and asked who would determine and carry out needed work; the highway foreman (Jacob) was named as the person responsible for determining crew actions. The board discussed MRGP timing for addressing non-compliant roads.
Erik Johnson noted the MRGP context and compliance timeline; as discussed in the meeting, "There are roads that we have to continuously approve under MRPG," and board members said there is a list of non-compliant roads and time to fix them. Peter Booth moved to adopt the updated standards and Amy Kapitan seconded; the motion passed 5-0.
