The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County completed its annual reorganization on Nov. 18, electing Daryl Lohr as chair and Laura Moss as vice chair.
Nominations opened during the meeting, after which the board voted to close nominations and elect Lohr. Following the vote, commissioners offered brief remarks of appreciation. "Congratulations," the acting chair said after the motion carried, and newly elected chair Daryl Lohr acknowledged the board: "Thank you very much." The reorganization followed the board's tradition of rotating leadership and was handled as a routine procedural item.
The nominations and election took place at the start of the meeting alongside brief remarks about a challenging but productive year.
