Commission recommends rezoning of Gladys Baston parcel to RS-6 for single-family split

"The proposed zoning, RS 6, residential zoning allows up to 6 units an acre," Andrews said while describing the compatibility of RS-6 with surrounding residential development.
Commissioners asked staff about the next steps for a lot split and whether additional access easements or dual access would be required; staff clarified the rezoning itself does not create a new driveway and that any future split would require recorded easements and additional approvals. There were no public speakers during the hearing. On motion, the commission voted to recommend approval; the motion passed unanimously and will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners.
