The Jamesville-DeWitt board voted to approve the OCM BOCES 2026–27 technology lease and five-year service contract that funds replacement and renewal of end-user devices. A staff member clarified the contract’s scope: “All user level devices, not centralized hardware or anything like that,” distinguishing the lease from capital-funded centralized infrastructure. The board moved, discussed briefly, and approved the contract by voice vote.
Board members also discussed that centralized hardware and capital projects remain separate and are generally addressed through the capital projects process. The move is intended to maintain device availability for students and staff while managing lifecycle costs.
