Board adopts FY28 ten-year long-term facilities maintenance plan
Summary
The board adopted the FY28 Long-Term Facilities Maintenance Ten-Year Plan required to qualify for state Long-Term Facilities Maintenance Revenue and directed administration to submit the approved plan to the Minnesota Department of Education by July 31, 2026.
Member Stephanie Danielson moved and the board adopted the Fiscal Year 2028 Long-Term Facilities Maintenance Ten-Year Plan, which the board found to be compliant with Minnesota Statutes section 123B.595. The resolution directs administration to submit the approved plan and a copy of the board resolution to the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education by July 31, 2026.
Board materials state that expenditures made in accordance with the plan will be consistent with allowed uses of long-term facilities maintenance revenue. The motion passed on a roll-call vote with Mathews, Anderson, Provencher, Danielson and Oster voting Aye; Chair Alex Carlson was absent.
Adoption of the plan makes the district eligible to receive state long-term facilities maintenance revenue contingent on the Department of Education's review.
