Draper tree committee adopts 2026 meeting schedule

The Draper City Tree Committee voted unanimously to adopt its 2026 meeting schedule, setting meetings for February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5, September 1, October 6 and November 3.
"We'll meet on February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5," the Chair said while presenting the proposed calendar. Committee members said the schedule is intended to place meetings before the spring planting season so the group can coordinate planting plans and public-education events.
Members said the cadence — fewer summer and holiday meetings — helped staff and volunteers concentrate work in the key months ahead of planting. The motion to approve was called, seconded and carried without opposition. The committee plans to review planting priorities and outreach logistics at the February meeting.
