City to pursue local‑bridge funding for Honeycutt Street bridge after ARDOT eligibility finding

Hill said the typical process involves feasibility, conceptual design and cost estimate but that the program's completed work lets the project enter design sooner.
Director Webb asked whether the same federal aid could be used for the Woodlawn bridge; Hill said Woodlawn does not meet the same criteria and that ARDOT still expects to issue bids on Woodlawn later in the year. Hill said ARDOT had requested adjustments to sight distance treatments that required minor additional right‑of‑way acquisition but that staff expects to submit those materials within a month.
