Selman described a discrepancy between an original application map and the ordinance legal description and said Planning Commission recommended approval.
Selman said historical minutes show a 2004 conditional use for self‑storage was approved despite one lot remaining residentially zoned, creating a possible legal inconsistency because storage is a prohibited use in residential zones. Staff recommended the map amendment and a matching future land use map change to a linear commercial corridor; Selman said the planning department would update the board packet after the Planning Commission's Thursday action so the board has the commission's most current material before final action.
