Director of Public Works Keith Leitzinger explained the existing small pipe cannot handle the water volume, and the township initially indicated it might share costs but later declined after seeing the quote.
Board members noted the township plans to blacktop or concrete a gravel area that could reduce runoff, and the board reached consensus to wait for the upcoming Highway 35 road project rather than proceed with the expensive culvert installation immediately. No motion to award work was made.
