Trustee Simko told the board that new village signs were ordered Aug. 23, 2024, and were expected back around Sept. 27 or Oct. 4. She described a meeting with three historians and trustees from Jordan, Elbridge and the Town of Elbridge about possibly consolidating the historians’ offices to improve collections, storage and community inclusion and said another meeting will be scheduled.
Simko also said DPW crews removed trees along a pathway to accommodate a solar lighting project and work continues on spacing for light posts. A friend of Trustee Stapleton offered to donate a canal rock and two marble benches; the board discussed placing one in the garden and another outside village hall as a memorial for former Mayor Platten.
