Residents press board on culvert flooding as FEMA funding and engineering work advance

Councilmember Nick Baranowski and Supervisor Richard Craig discussed an ongoing concern about a potential size discrepancy between a town culvert and a Yates County culvert. Ryan Frykholm of Disaster Recovery Partners noted that Fisher Associates handled county plans and that final engineering indicates the county culvert will be larger than the town’s; the county plans to perform a 200‑foot cleanup associated with its culvert replacement. The board discussed the need for better county‑to‑town communication when county plans change.
