The Town Board of Keene on Feb. 25 approved a series of fiscal motions that included transfers to purchase a 2025 Ford F250 and payment of the town's current bills. Board members adopted Resolution 91‑2025 to transfer $9,395 within the General Fund from "Sales of Equipment" into Parks CE to help purchase the truck, and then amended the 2024 budget (Resolution 92‑2025) to increase line 7110.4 (Parks CE) by $48,245.12 from Fund Balance for the same vehicle purchase.
Board members also approved auditing and paying vouchers numbered 131 through 162, 2025, with a total of $129,584.67 broken down by fund: General $88,046.72; Highway $23,020.70; Library $873.87; Water District #1 $1,255.56; Water District #2 $7,435.82; Youth Commission $8,952.00 (Resolution 94‑2025). The motion to pay online bills (Resolution 93‑2025) passed with one recorded abstention (Robert Biesemeyer).
The vehicle purchases and transfers were introduced and moved by Board members in open session; Resolution 91‑2025 was introduced by Robert Biesemeyer and seconded by Teresa Cheetham‑Palen, while Resolution 92‑2025 was introduced by Robert Biesemeyer and seconded by Christopher Daly. Voting records in the minutes show unanimous approval on the transfers and budget amendment. The Board adjourned at 6:27 p.m. after completing business.
