Summary
Greg, presenting the circuit clerk budget, said a last‑minute $50,000 grant will be put toward a Jono system (cost cited as more than $150,000) while software maintenance and licensing continue to push costs up across court automation lines.

Greg presented the circuit clerk budget packet and highlighted payroll increases and a recently awarded $50,000 grant that will be applied toward the county's Jono system costs. "We did receive a grant, this year, for $50,000, which will be put toward our Jono cost, which is well over a $150,000," Greg said, noting the grant reduced near-term pressure.
He also cautioned that court automation and software-maintenance costs are growing: Microsoft licensing, a mobile app, and court monitors all saw increases. Greg told the committee, "Our software and our maintenance for software since I've been here has increased dramatically, and it's never gonna go down," and asked the committee to monitor those recurring costs in future budgets.
