Planning report: audit found $1,000 overpayment; Chris Mays nominated to county planning board

Jeffrey (Jeff) Ayers presented the Planning Department report covering public transportation, solid waste, housing grants and state programs including an NYS EFC septic system replacement grant and a NYS Parks snowmobile grant. Ayers said the audit found the county had overpaid about $1,000 for Parks-related reimbursements; YASTA issued a $1,000 check and, combined with unspent funds, approximately $4,600 will be returned to New York State.
Holgate asked whether the appointment of a new Planning Board member should be forwarded; the committee agreed to send forward the appointment of Chris Mays to represent the Town of Middlesex on the Yates County Planning Board. The report was accepted as information and the appointment was forwarded to the Legislative meeting for confirmation.
