Finance Committee agrees to make Pittsburgh Central School whole after $1,062.19 shortfall

Treasurer Patricia Christensen told the Finance Committee that when Pittsburgh Central School was paid under the state lands process the school was shorted $1,062.19. Christensen said she reviewed records and the school’s provided documents, concluded the state payment was short and presented options to the committee for how to proceed.
After discussion the committee decided, with the exception of member Doug Paddock, to make the school whole immediately and then request reimbursement from the state. The transcript records the committee consensus and notes Mr. Paddock did not agree with that course. The decision will require county disbursement of $1,062.19 with a follow-up request to the state for reimbursement.
