Commissioners approve multiple facility repairs and maintenance contracts

Forest County commissioners approved several facilities and maintenance actions on Aug. 6, 2025. The board accepted Jefferson Paving's only bid for sealing, painting and repair of Courthouse Drive and the District Court Office in Marienville for $23,677.00. Commissioners also authorized an $18,400 payment from the Operating Reserve Account to Blair Construction, LLC for completion of a new roof over stairs at the Justice Building; the minutes note that this work was paid with PComp and PCorp grant funding.
Separately, the board approved an Act 13 Impact Fee payment of $10,900 to contractor Jake Heshizer for sanding, scraping and painting soffit and fascia, window trim and related work on the Justice Building and courthouse windows. The commissioners also approved contractor payments for work at a rental space next to Tionesta Medical Center to be used for opioid treatment: electrical work ($640.00 to Mark Woodside) and plumbing work ($2,161.58 to Divido's Handyman Services). All actions were passed unanimously in the meeting minutes.
