Forest County OKs 10-year municipal waste transfer agreements with four vendors

The Forest County Board of Commissioners approved a set of 10-year Municipal Waste Transfer Station Agreements with four companies at the June 18 meeting: Tri-County Industries, Inc.; Valley Waste Service, Inc.; Seneca Landfill, Inc.; and Greentree Landfill, LLC. Commissioner Snyder moved the action under agenda item IX; Commissioner Kline seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The agreements were adopted "effective for a period of 10 years and are being done per recommendations contained in the 2023 update to the Clarion and Forest Counties Municipal Waste Management Plan," according to the minutes. The contracts name vendor addresses and establish a decade-long relationship for waste transfer services across the cooperating counties.
