Forest County approves opioid-account payments for recovery services and festival outreach

Forest County commissioners on May 21 approved two uses of opioid-abatement funds. Commissioner Patrick F. Kline moved to issue a $2,089.34 check from the Opioid Account to Family Services of Warren County for Invoice #201 to support recovery services; Commissioner Snyder seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the board approved a $2,400.00 payment from the Opioid Abatement Account to Seven Mountains Media to provide live broadcasts at the Marienville Bigfoot Festival and the Tionesta Indian Festival and to hand out opioid-awareness T-shirts. Commissioner Kline made the motion and Commissioner Snyder seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes do not record public comment on either item.
