Trustee Susan Patterson told the board June 11 that the Historic Preservation Commission met May 15 to discuss one agenda item and that the commission will forward a National Historic District report that recommends expanding the footprint listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Patterson said the consultant who prepared the report is willing to meet with the board to discuss the findings; she will forward the report to new board members. Mayor Weir said the item will be discussed at a future board meeting if members want a presentation from the consultant.
No vote or formal action was taken; the recommendation remains at the report stage pending any board direction.
