Kinderhook trustees approve minutes, abstracts and apply firetruck sale proceeds to bond

The Kinderhook Village Board of Trustees voted unanimously June 11 to approve routine minutes and financial abstracts and to reallocate funds from recent receipts and savings.
Trustee Joe Wildermuth moved to accept the May 14, 2025 meeting minutes; Trustee Astrid Montagano seconded and the board voted "Aye." The board also approved the May 31 abstract totaling $157,871.64 (General Fund $96,412.66; Water Fund $33,226.02; Capital Projects—Albany Ave. $28,232.96) and the June 11 abstract totaling $22,701.13 (General Fund $1,640.85; Water Fund $60.28; Capital Projects—Albany Ave. water portion $21,000).
On a separate motion, the board agreed to apply $122,500 in proceeds from a recent firetruck sale to reduce the outstanding firetruck bond balance of $355,338; the bond matures in 2038 and carries a 4.32% interest rate. The board also approved moving $34,000 from the building savings account to pay for masonry rebuilding of brick on a municipal property. Both motions were seconded and approved.
Clerk/Treasurer Nicole Heeder presented the treasurer's year-end report and the June 11 report; both were approved by motion.
