Organizers outline Memorial Day parade route; board approves village event applications

The board unanimously approved several community event applications, including a pavilion request from Solid Foundation Co‑op for June 10 (rain date June 13), a parade request for May 31 and the KBPA calendar of events (Farmers Market May 3–Oct 11, People Parade July 4, Fall Festival Oct 11, Candlelight Night Dec 5). The Ok5k race committee’s request for a large banner was discussed; because village code prohibits banners on village property the board approved a sandwich board and a 2x2 sign but will consult the village attorney about a banner.
