Andrea Jodeit used the public-comment period to press the board and neighboring communities to oppose the proposed TeraWulf AI data center in Lansing, New York. Jodeit said the project would "cause a major stress on our local grid" and raised concerns about the volume of water the facility would discharge daily; she also stated she saw no economic benefit to Seneca County and urged advocacy against the proposal.
Supervisor Ernie Brownell suggested Jodeit take the concern to the Seneca County Board of Supervisors and asked that she be placed on that body’s agenda. The board did not take formal action on the comment during the meeting; Jodeit’s remarks were recorded in the minutes as part of the Privilege of the Floor.
