After no public questions were offered during the hearing, the board closed the hearing and proceeded to adopt the resolution to enact Local Law #1 of 2026. The motion to pass was made by Councilman Richard Wadhams and seconded by Councilman James Patsos; the board recorded the vote as Aye-3, NAY-0, Absent-2. The local law, as discussed, would allow the town to set a levy above the statutory tax-cap limit authorized by New York General Municipal Law §3-c.
