Vehicle crash leaves Grove Sports Complex bleachers badly damaged; district working on repairs

Staff reported that a vehicle crashed into the fence and bleachers at the Grove Sports Complex in the early morning hours, causing significant damage to spectator seating.
"The bleachers are pretty much totaled," the Staff member said, reporting that the vehicle had gone over a curb and was left at the scene and that Milton PD contacted facilities early to begin repairs. District staff are prioritizing repairs so scheduled games can proceed safely and said they will coordinate to make stands safe before upcoming events.
Facilities staff also noted some fence sections and bleacher panels are pried over and that temporary fixes are being evaluated to allow continued play while permanent repairs are scheduled.
