Little Flower board honored with student-made gifts; culinary club showcases program

The Little Flower Union Free School District Board of Education was recognized for Board of Education Appreciation Month at its Oct. 21 regular meeting, where Superintendent Harold Dean presented board members with certificates and handmade gifts made by students.
Superintendent Dean introduced Christine Engelbert and Tiffany Wallahora and students from the afterschool Culinary Club; the advisers described the program and distributed samples to attendees. The visitors departed the meeting at 4:11 p.m. Board President Joseph Delgado also commented on a new handprint mural in the hallway.
Board members later reflected on the presentations during the board forum, with trustees describing the student gifts as thoughtful and praising early-year programming. The board adjourned at 4:39 p.m.
