Trustee Simko told the board the village signs have been installed and thanked DPW crew members Ken, Don and Gordy for their work. She said solar lights have been ordered and that three murals are completed and awaiting installation, with a likely dedication planned for spring 2025.
Simko said she will apply for a Community Grant and offered two ideas—a mule statue or a dog park—with general consensus favoring the dog park. She also reported that all three boards, their liaisons and the historians have agreed to continue talks about consolidating offices and archives into a single location; the historians are exploring possible sites and the group planned to meet Oct. 29, 2024.
