Resident urges county action after drainage ditch filled twice on Hamilton Road

Resident Doreen Faber addressed the board about a persistent drainage problem at 5907 Hamilton Rd, saying the ditch in front of her home was filled in on at least two occasions by neighbors and that the condition is now washing out her driveway. "The issue has been created by the drainage ditch in front of her home being filled in on at least 2 occasions by her neighbors," the minutes state.
Faber told the board the County previously responded (including installing tubing in 2021) but that the permit process allowed a neighbor to fill the ditch again. Mayor Brim confirmed the road is owned by the County and said he "would reach out to the County Legislator to see if he can assist/offer suggestions." The minutes record that the Town of Elbridge said the county road limited town authority to act.
