The board approved multiple aggregate expenses over $10,000 presented by Support Services and athletics staff. Interim Athletic Director Anthony Pinal explained an increased request for the BSN Sports order, from $34,785.44 to $52,170.30, after additional quotes identified needed items for fall sports.
Board members said future purchases that exceed aggregate thresholds should be supported by three quotes. Staff noted sometimes fewer than three bus vendors have availability for requested dates and the board said it would remain flexible and approve those limited cases retroactively. The motion to approve the aggregate expenses passed 5-0 with two trustees absent.
