On July 28 the Borough of Pitman Council adopted a consent agenda of routine municipal measures covering resolutions numbered 125 through 137. The consent package, presented by Council President James and approved on a single motion, included multiple property tax refund and cancellation actions for 100% total disabled veteran exemptions, authorization of camp-registration refunds, and administrative and public-safety items.
Notable items in the consent agenda that were recorded in the minutes included Resolution No. 132, "Creating and Implementing a Long-Range Plan to Address Drainage Issues," and Resolution No. 134, appointing Nick Colameco to the Historic Preservation Commission. Resolution No. 135 provided for insertion of a special item of revenue in the budget for the 2025 Click It or Ticket grant pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:4-87, and Resolution No. 136 authorized the purchase of ballistic vests for the Pitman Police Department pursuant to a state contract. The minutes record the consent agenda was adopted with all present council members voting Yes.
Council President James prefaced the package with a standard consent-agenda explanation: "All matters listed under Consent Agenda are considered routine by this Borough Council and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. There will be no separate discussion of these items." The minutes do not show separate debate on these individual resolutions within this meeting.
