Midway City Sanitary District adopts FY 2026–27 general fund budget

The Midway City Sanitary District Board of Directors on June 16 adopted Resolution No. 2026-13, approving the Special District General Fund Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027. President Chi Charlie Nguyen opened and closed the required public hearing after no members of the public spoke; the motion to adopt the proposed budget was made by Director Mark Nguyen and seconded by President Chi Charlie Nguyen and passed by a 5-0 roll call vote (Contreras, A. Nguyen, Diep, C. Nguyen, M. Nguyen).
District staff and the general manager said adoption of the budget will allow the District to move into year-end closing and prepare for the upcoming audit. General Manager Robert Housley thanked staff and the board for approving the budget; the board also recognized operational milestones and announced the next regular meeting date. The resolution was adopted as presented; no amendments or budget figures beyond the resolution language were added during the hearing.
