After serious consideration, I have decided to step down as the Climate Smart Task Force Coordinator and Chair as of May 31, 2025," Mancini said in his statement. The board accepted his resignation by motion of Mayor Weir and a second from Trustee Wildermuth; the vote was unanimous.
Montagano and others discussed the $45,000 NYSERDA grant breakdown reported by the committee (stated allocation: $30,000 for the solar project and $10,000 for Village Hall upgrades) and a current leftover fund balance of $15,904.97. The Clerk/Treasurer reported she had asked the accountant to review and approve establishing a separate savings account for the Green Fund so the money is reserved for stated purposes; trustees directed the clerk to solicit committee applications for a new chair.
