Board names Mark Browne project manager as Albany Avenue and William Street designs move forward

The Village Board voted to appoint Mark Browne as project manager for the Albany Avenue project and as Project Oversight Manager for the William Street project. Trustee Joe Wildermuth reported that Tighe & Bond completed an initial survey for William Street and aims to have a water-main design by May 30, followed by a first-week-of-June meeting for final comments to meet a mid-June submission to the Columbia County Health Department. For Albany Avenue, Wildermuth said two utility poles require small relocations; contacts at Consolidated and Spectrum are being coordinated. Wildermuth and Mark Browne flagged procurement and MWBE requirements from the Department of State as important for timely reimbursement and contract execution.
