Mesquite ISD’s communications office announced a new partnership with BJ’s Wholesale Club to support the district’s elementary attendance incentive program. The district said BJ’s provided a $22,500 grant to the Mesquite Education Foundation to fund campus celebrations and attendance prizes.
Chief communications officer Sabrina Smith presented a short video and thanked BJ’s for the support. A BJ’s representative said the company was "proud to be the presenting sponsor of Mesquite ISD's Attendance Incentive Challenge" and noted the funds will support community outreach, campus celebrations and incentive prizes.
Board members and the superintendent thanked BJ’s and said the partnership helps the district recognize students meeting attendance goals. The district said the program will begin with monthly campus celebrations funded through the Education Foundation grant.
