Supervisor Stanley said the town has been working with a newly appointed primary dog-control officer and proposed splitting that pay and duties by appointing an assistant from internal staff. "So, I would like to make a motion to appoint Dan McDonald as our assistant dock control officer," the supervisor said; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Board members noted coordination with neighboring Wilmington and confirmed the appointee has completed required forms and meetings with state contacts. No additional funding or contract issues were raised during the vote.
