Board discusses lake weed control contract; mayor defends fall survey

The board reviewed Resolution R25-03-02, an agreement with Wisconsin Lake & Pond Resource for aquatic plant control and aquatic surveying. Trustee Roesler asked whether the average acreage proposed for treatment matched past years and whether the village needed to pay for a Fall survey if a Spring resurvey would be done the next year.
Mayor Rodney Buckley explained the purpose of the Fall survey, saying it is valuable because it documents where weed growth occurs during the growing season. "The Fall survey is important because it shows where the weed growth is during the growing season," the minutes record. The March 3 minutes do not show a vote on this resolution.
