The Bradley County Commission voted to approve a rezoning resolution for property at 1784 Benton Pike Northeast, changing the parcel from C-1 Rural Commercial to C-3 Highway Commercial.
“This is a resolution to rezone from C 1 Rural Commercial District to C 3 Highway Commercial District, property located at 1784 Benton Pike Northeast and identified by tax map 050 N, Group B, Parcel 004.01,” Commissioner Rogers said as he introduced the measure. The commission opened a public hearing, received no speakers, closed the hearing and then moved to a roll-call vote.
The clerk recorded 13 votes in favor, none opposed, and one absent. The resolution passed, altering the zoning designation for that parcel. The vote followed the standard public-hearing procedure; no public comments were offered during the hearing.
The rezoning was considered under the agenda item posted in the commission packet (pages 11–12). Commissioners did not record further discussion on conditions or specific development plans tied to the rezoning during the meeting.
