Bradley County mayor asks commission to add TVA easement, sheriff's phone contract to agenda

The county mayor told the commission he had two resolutions he wanted added to the docket, noting one would authorize Tennessee Valley Authority to buy a permanent easement for a substation on part of the landfill and the other would approve a three-year contract to upgrade the sheriff's department phone system.
"I got several things on your agenda already, but I have 2 resolutions I would like to request someone put on there," the mayor said. Commissioners agreed to place the requests on the agenda for consideration at a future voting session.
The mayor introduced the easement matter as related to TVA's planned substation on landfill property and identified the phone contract as a three-year procurement for the sheriff's communications. No formal vote occurred at the meeting; the items were requested for placement on the next voting session agenda scheduled for March 17.
