The chair called for any requests to remove items from consent; a committee member moved that items b2a and b2b be considered part of the consent agenda, the motion received support and the presiding officer announced the motion passes.
Under personnel introductions, Flynn introduced new hires and invited Elizabeth Barley to the microphone. Barley told the board she is teaching a 5–6 split at Coster Elementary and described prior experience in district schools, saying she has taught in multiple district buildings and is happy to be back in the classroom. "I'm Elizabeth Barley, and I am in a 5 6 split at Coster Elementary," she said. The board welcomed the new hires.
