During new business, the council approved multiple financial requests and voted to sponsor a senior ad in the local paper. Clerk Larissa Wilson later explained a timing constraint related to a Heartland Community Foundation grant application, noting the commemorative frame must be ordered before July to arrive by Christmas and that grant funds cannot be used to repay debts. Multiple motions at the meeting were recorded as "Motion carried 4-0."
