Recreation chair touts summer programs and Farmers Market dates; city seeks Memorial Day volunteers

Alderman Jeffrey Key, chair of the Recreation committee, told the council the city’s summer programming will begin soon and urged residents to check palosheightsrec.org for schedules and registration. He also reminded the public that the Farmers Market will run May 13 through October 14 on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Separately, Alderman Jack Clifford asked for volunteers for the city’s Memorial Day activities and asked residents to set flags at half-mast in the morning and then raise them at noon in remembrance. Council members thanked volunteers and encouraged community participation.
