Council OKs surplus declaration for patrol SUV, approves 10-year AXON contract

Later in the same committee report, Alderman Basso moved to terminate the existing five-year AXON contract and enter into a 10-year AXON proposal (option 1). The council approved the contract change on a unanimous roll call. No council member raised objections during the discussion. The AXON contract change directs staff and legal counsel to finalize the longer-term agreement and return any necessary ordinance language for formal adoption.
