At the April 28 meeting the committee reviewed the Police Department activity and traffic reports for the year to date. The department reported 693 total calls for service and a traffic-crash total of 50, consisting of 7 hit-and-run incidents, 39 property-damage crashes and 4 personal-injury crashes.
Staff also reported enforcement and training statistics: 248 red-light violations issued, 44 DACRA citations, and 360 hours of training logged by officers. The Crisis Intervention Team reported 40 cases year to date; additional enforcement figures included 17 DUI arrests, 1,595 traffic stops and 111 arrests year to date.
