Resident Shawn Untersee told the board there had been a water-main break near the car lot at West Street and Highway 75 and said the wrench the village currently has is old and not working. Untersee said the water needs to be turned back on but the tool problem is delaying the work.
Board members agreed a new wrench represented a nominal cost and instructed staff to purchase one soon. Untersee also raised a separate drainage concern, saying the waterway ditch running from Turner and around Wenger’s property is filled with tall weeds and needs clearing; the board assigned someone to inspect the ditch and determine necessary cleanup or repairs.
