Public Works lead Jeff Kluck reported that the wastewater treatment facility project is approaching completion and that he will be receiving the facility keys from Kelsey's. The board discussed whether the facility's meters and pumps need an external shelter; no decision was made and the board flagged a potential future project to build shelters if necessary.
Jeff and other designated staff members will attend three training sessions to ensure proper facility maintenance and operation. President Jon Riley and the engineer are meeting to assemble a final punch list for Kelsey's to complete remaining work; those items will determine final closeout steps and release of withheld funds tied to the IEPA payment.
