Trustee resignation accepted; board weighs limited remote-attendance policy

On June 2 the board accepted the resignation of Trustee Jon Riley. Otis Holley moved to accept the resignation, Jeremy Knox seconded, and the motion carried with all in favor.
Trustees then discussed whether to allow remote attendance for absent trustees. The board noted a policy was created during COVID with narrow allowable reasons (illness, family emergency, child care) and that attorney guidance requires specific justifications be met. Trustees expressed concern about technology costs and said they will draft a formal policy; the board indicated remote attendance would not be permitted for closed sessions.
