At the May 5 meeting, the Village of Dakota Board approved IEPA PWSL 17-4260 Request #10 in the amount of $773,171.43, which the minutes say includes "Kelsey Pay Application # 8 and Willett Hofmann & Associates Invoice #38270." Trustee Jeremy Knox moved to approve the payment request; Trustee Ken Vrazsity seconded and the motion carried.
President Jon Riley also updated the board on the village's wastewater treatment facility, reporting the originally scheduled completion date of May 6, 2025 would not be met and that an extension had been filed with the EPA. The board has not received correspondence back on the extension, according to Riley. The approved pay request and the project delay are linked in the meeting record: the IEPA pay request was approved while the board awaits EPA correspondence on the schedule and any required approvals.
