The Palco City Council appointed five members to the McKenna Advisory Board during its April 8 meeting. After conducting individual interviews in executive session earlier in the evening, Joan Underhill moved to appoint Don Steeples, Kedra Marcotte, Andrea Keller, Matt Benoit and Amy Karlin; Koleson Hubbard seconded and the motion carried with a recorded tally of 4-0-1, with Don Steeples listed as abstaining on the appointment vote.
Interviews were held in executive session from roughly 7:10 to 7:51 PM before the council returned to open session at 8:05 PM and recorded the appointments. The minutes list several applicants and attendees; the appointment motion and the abstention are part of the public record. (Note: the minutes list a “Kedra Dopita” as arriving earlier in the meeting and later record the appointee as “Kedra Marcotte”; that naming discrepancy appears in the meeting record.)
