The Palco City Council on Feb. 11 voted to begin using a consent agenda and approved a series of contract and purchase items that the mayor said would streamline future meetings.
Councilmembers approved Wilson & Co. contract amendment #2, reducing the contract amount from $417,100.00 to $358,100.00, and approved Woofter Pay App #4 and KDHE STWSIA DW11 Request #3; all motions carried 4-0. The council also approved a $1,282.49 purchase for a conference room table.
The council later approved acquisition of a striping machine and associated sprayers, spray boxes, flushing system and paint (10 gallons yellow, 10 gallons white, 2 gallons blue, 2 gallons red) for painting crosswalks, curbs and parking lots. Councilmembers said the equipment will allow the city to maintain markings in-house and reduce contracted services.
The council approved the list of purchases on the consent track to expedite routine items; Larissa Wilson was authorized to print a $2,500 donation check to USD 269 before next month's meeting.
