Selectboard approves site access for environmental work, grants Town Hall temporary use and OKs staff bonus during office closure

The Selectboard conditionally approved Very Merry Theater's rainy-day use of the Town Hall for July 31, 2026, authorized Stone Environmental Inc. access to the depot for a site investigation, and approved a bonus for office staff member Peggy Connor for the week the office will be closed Aug. 17–21, 2026.
The Selectboard approved several administrative items on July 21. The board conditionally approved the Very Merry Theater's application to use the Town Hall on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:30–8:30 p.m., to be used only in case of rain, contingent on receipt of the insurance certificate, fees and deposit. John Roleau moved approval and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also authorized the New Haven Community Trust to allow Stone Environmental Inc. access to the depot property for an environmental site investigation. The board approved minutes from July 7, 2026, and discussed the ACRPC TAC grant application for a Main Street crosswalk planning study; Roleau said he will attend the August TAC meeting. The board approved a bonus for employee Peggy Connor for the week the office will be closed Aug. 17–21, 2026. The board met in executive session on personnel from 8:26–8:50 p.m.; no further personnel details were disclosed.
