Mayor Mengoni and Public Works staff reported progress on the DesPlaines Avenue Street Lighting Project, saying the new lights are energized and the Village is awaiting a few additional components and final pole installations.
Mayor Mengoni said the "DesPlaines Avenue Street Lighting Project is almost complete," noting the new fixtures are presently lighting DesPlaines Avenue (SEG 012). The Public Works attachment described completed foundation work, directional-bored conduit to each pole location (including to the future Village sign), concrete restoration and new wiring from the controller to individual poles; ComEd has decommissioned old lights and connected the new controller to its power source. Easement agreements are signed and the contractor (Utility Dynamics) is expected to return to finish installing the remaining poles (SEG 126-127).
No additional funding requests or formal approvals for this project were recorded at the meeting; status and remaining installation work are captured in the Public Works report attachment.
